Jake Scully, the hero, is a paraplegic who takes over from his recently killed brother on a mission to the far off planet of Pandora.He is infiltrates the "Na'vi" using an "Avatar" identity. ...Read more »
Picture: Picture quality is a difficult one. The 3D version is fantastic fun but once the effect of that has worn off you are left with a lot of CGi that looks SO computer generated that it can become off putting. The shiny nature of some of the animals skin/fur is an obvious one to me. The scenes around the floating mountains are the most amazing stand out scenes. Simply breathtaking especially during the final battle, very detailed, no wonder it took so long to make.3D - 89%. Non 3D - 85%
Sound: Sound is excellent. Reference really. Again the final battle scene is excellent.97%
